“I have regularly used joint injections for my “older” event horses (aka anything over 12). It wasn’t until I leased out my retired guy, off the track thoroughbred, to teach the ropes to a novice rider that I discovered Actistatin Equine. Carmel Dunlap – Actistatin Equine

“In 2012 our Paint mare, Leather, began to graze with an unusual awkward stance, much like a young foal would, with one front leg extended far forward and the other one back. In 2013 she was diagnosed with severe arthritis of the dorsal articular facets between the 5th and 6th cervical vertebrae and the 6th and 7th vertebrae, with moderate arthritis between the 4th and 5th vertebrae.  At that time she was given Tildren in an attempt to slow the progression of the arthritis.  Injections of the dorsal facets had been discussed but given the severity of the arthritis they were not recommended due to the fact that the joints were almost fused and the medication would not be able to be given in the correct location.

The prognosis was certainly not good but we refused to give up hope. She had been receiving acupuncture treatments from the outset of when she first showed signs of the arthritis and still continues to receive them.  We have also tried various supplements.  I had used Actistatin on another mare that had arthritis from a different type of problem and she had responded within a week of beginning supplementation.  She remained on Actistatin until her passing at the age of nearly 30.  Because I’d seen such great results with her, I put Leather on Actistatin as well.  I gave it to her as directed and used the entire jar but did not see any results.  I know that many times you have to keep trying different supplements until you find the one that works so I assumed Actistatin was not one that would work for Leather.

We attended Equine Affaire in Columbus, OH in 2014 and stopped by the Actistatin Equine booth.  I told them that while I’d had great success with their product with another horse I’d had, it did not appear to work for Leather.  That’s when I was told that this product has had studies done and it was clinically proven to actually increase hyaluronan production.  I decided to give it another try.

It is now 2 years later.  Leather had also been on Pentosan injections and has not had to receive that for several months.  We do stretching exercises (such as carrot stretches) every day with her and where she once had great difficulty in stretching very far she is now able to nearly reach her flank!  Given the severity of her arthritis I do not think the daily stretches alone would account for this.   She does still graze with her awkward stance and while I know that there is nothing that can cure arthritis I do believe that Actistatin has given Leather a far more promising future than she would have without it.  I would definitely recommend using this product and to not give up hope if you do not see results in a short time.”

“I am writing to tell you my experience with the Actistatin Equine. I started using the product in the Fall of 2015 on my 17yr gelding Remy.  He was diagnosed in 2008 with arthritis in his right hock. He has always struggled with conformation in the foot and placement, picking up the leads and dragging the toe. He has been dosed with the Actistatin once daily ( 2 scoops) regularly since then and my farrier has noticed the conformation of the foot is changing, becoming more straight and he is not dragging his toe. I have had limited time of riding due to weather this winter as you can see but when he is on turn out he runs and kicks up his heels and seems to feel really good. I have also been giving it to my 10yr mare who had previously not had any issues but she is a sturdy horse that I ride long distances on the trail when weather permits and want her to remain sound.

I am very happy with the product. It extremely easy to dose and takes a small amount for an average horse so a jar even on 2 horses lasts me over a month and a half! I have not had any issues with palatability, I just mix it into a small amount of grain. I plan to continue the use of the product and can’t wait to ride this Spring!”

"Dear GLC Direct,

We have been using GLC Direct products for our Golden Retriever, Simcha for several years now. Simcha (“Sim-ka”– Hebrew for “joyful”) is a male, dark Golden Retriever who is now eleven years old. When he was almost two years old, he was playing with a number of other dogs at a large reservoir and took a tumble on some loose stones. He sprained his front leg badly and was hobbling for a month or so, but recovered. He is a very athletic dog who loves to run, romp, and most of all, fetch tennis balls (he can carry 4 at once in his mouth!). Between the age of four and five, he began getting some stiffness in his front elbow and also developed some arthritis in his back hip. When he was asleep for a long time and then got up, especially from a couch he naps on, he got up very slowly and with obvious discomfort. After he stretched out a while, he was back to his playfully energetic self, and it did not seem to bother him. But if he romped hard with the grandkids, he was noticeably sore later.

We heard about GLC Direct from doing online research into glucosamine supplements. We started giving them to him and noticed a significant improvement within a month or so. ProBiostatin Puts an End to Ruby’s Persistent Winter Diarrhea!

"First I must congratulate you for developing a formula that works!  After years of struggling to find a cure for my two aged horses seasonal stomach problems your product has largely eliminated my mare’s problem and reduced the gelding’s. A miracle!

My horses are 31 and 26 respectively. Ruby the older horse, a 15 hand QH who I’ve owned since she was 9, started to have digestive upset in the winter only for about 10 years. “I have an almost 9 year old Newfoundland named Levi. I got him as a puppy and at 3 years old he tore his right cranial cruciate ligament. He had a TPLO and did well for 2 years. At age 5 he tore his left cranial cruciate ligament and had a a lateral suture repair. “Here is a picture of my 17 year old Queensland Heeler. He has been taking GLC for over 2 years and he acts like he is much younger. Bomb Dog & Handler at Jackson Evers International Airport. Making the World a Safer Place for Everyone.

“I have the only bomb sniffing dog in the area – his name is Quito. He has been used exclusively by the Jackson Airport and other agencies in the area, including Grand Gulf Nuclear Plant in Port Gibson, Mississippi. He is 8 ~ years old with OF A excellent hips; however, over the past year he was diagnosed with spinalosis (degeneration of the spine). This has caused him to fall down, slip down when making turns, avoid stairs, etc. and in general I thought I was going to have to put him down soon, rather than watch such a magnificent animal suffer. I had to board him a couple of weeks ago at Forest Hill Animal Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi for treatment of an ear problem.

While he was there Dr. Jonathan Mitchell, DVM, decided to try GLC 1000 on him to see if it would help with his walking. When I picked Quito up Dr. Mitchell asked me to go ahead and finish up the remainder of the bottle – 3 in the morning, and 3 in the evening, since Quito is 98 pounds (not fat – all muscle). After seven days I called Dr. Mitchell and told him the medication was working so well that Quito acted like a two year old dog again. He was walking normal, running like he had somewhere to go, and in general his mobility improved 100%. To any fence-sitters out there- Give it a go! ‘My shoulders’ ROM is so much better’

"Fitness has always been part of my life. I played Rugby to a high level (Llanelli RFC aka The Scarlets), county athletics (13x British champ), swimming, cycling. Last year I became European Crossfit Masters Champion. Over the last year my shoulder had got increasingly sorer. Some days the range of motion was so poor that trying to get it overhead was unbearable. This was affecting my work, training and hobbies.

I spoke to my friend Gareth Doody (Coach, Reebok Crossfit Reading) and he mentioned GLC 2000 had helped a number of his members through various problems and he was using it himself. Not being great with technology, I asked my wife to order me some GLC 2000 online! I couldn’t wait to get started.

"I train daily and teach Brazilian jiu-jitsu in Birmingham Gracie Barra Academy and also at Tamworth Academy, sometimes twice daily including conditioning 3 times a week. I also compete regularly throughout the year, up to 10 competitions including British champs, Europeans- both domestically and internationally. This puts a lot of strain and also injuries to joints, ligaments, and muscles.

I specifically had been struggling with tendon trouble especially golfers elbow, to the point where I had physio for a long period of time and considered cortisone injections.

But as time went on, probably after about 3 weeks I realized I had forgotten about my elbow more and was training a lot while not worrying so much about the elbow and was lifting more weight again.
